Too often the answer to this question is “nothing” or “I’m not sure.” What a loss! These folks are trying to help, and if you can’t tell them specifically how they can help you you’re missing a huge opportunity.
At least one NetworkInAustin.com member has a “how to refer me” sheet. He knows exactly what he’s looking for and can provide the information to you easily. This is a great exercise. When you have a few minutes today write down specifically what you’re looking for. Next time you’ll be able to answer the “How can I help you?” question.
