Networking Management Tool

posted on October 23, 2009

This new Network In Austin website was specifically designed to serve you as a "Networking Management Tool." Through your membership you'll have the ability to effectively manage which specific events make the most sense for you, and fit them into your busy schedule. Then do a little homework and see who you'd like to connect with at these events.

You can start by building your own event filter on the "find events" search tab. As a member you'll also be able to save these searches so you don't have to recreate them each time.

Next go to the detail page for the events that you're interested in and select the "I am interested in this event" option. After you've done this for all of the events that you might like to attend you can look at the events tab on your own profile where you'll find a list of those events that you're either registered for or interested in.

As these interesting events come closer you can decide which ones you'd actually like to attend. Click directly to that detail page where you'll find a registration link. With 1 click you can also add this to your calendar, and don't forget to change your selection to: "I am registered for this event."

The the day of your event, or the day before your event you can look at the detail page again and see which other Network In Austin members are planning to attend. Each of these will be linked back to their profiles where you can learn more about them, and if that's not enough you can follow their social links to their LinkedIn, Twitter or Facebook pages.

We hope this helps you better manage your networking activities, and be more effective in your preparation and follow-up around each event.

Happy Networking!
