Helping Prove a Startup Business Model

posted on September 7, 2010

If you've followed this blog for any amount of time you know that I preach over and over about real networking being about building relationships and helping other people. Today I'm writing about an opportunity for you to help me help someone else all with very little effort on your part. In fact it'll probably take you longer to read this blog post than it will to help us out.

Recently one of the Capital Factory Mentors introduced me to one of the founders of a startup that is part of this summer's Capital Factory business incubator program. Since that introduction I've been helping Mike Presh of RippleFunction to improve his tool, and prove out the value that their functionality provides for event organizers.

Here's where we need your help. RippleFunction is a simple, yet powerful tool, that helps people easily spread word-of-mouth about upcoming events through Facebook and Twitter.

Simply go to the landing page where you'll find all of the details about our September NetStorming event on Monday the 13th. Share the information using Facebook and/or Twitter. Each time you use the page to share details about the event you'll be entered into our simple contest. 5 of you will be chosen as winners (RippleFunction has a back-end tool that does this randomly for us. Each share = 1 entry, so the more you share the better your odds are).

Winners will receive:

Grand Prize - 1 NetStorming ticket & 1 Happy Hour ticket
Second Prize - 1 NetStorming ticket
Third Prize - 1 NetStorming ticket
Fourth Prize - 1 Power Happy Hour ticket
Fifth Prize - 1 Power Happy Hour ticket

Winners will be chosen an announced during the September NetStorming event.

Thank you for taking the time to follow the link and share the details.

Happy Networking!
