I think there's a correlation between the release of the Forbes list of the richest people in the world and talk of self-made billionaires or self-made millionaires. The whole thing is BS. Nobody ever made a billion dollars by themselves. Instead they usually have thousands of people working for them. Hundreds of management and leadership personnel and a board of directors. Read more »

American culture has a massive tendency towards instant gratification. I have a feeling this is the primary reason many become frustrated with networking. Networking is not at all an instant thing.
