New Relationships vs. Existing Relationships

Traditional networking advice seems to harp constantly on building new relationships. It suggests that when you're at an event you shouldn't spend much time talking or sitting with people you already know. From a strong networking strategy perspective I think this advice is a bit misguided. Chances are you already know a lot of people who can help you on your path to success. You just don't know them well enough, or they don't know that there are ways that they can help you. Read more »
