I'm a big fan of NIA. It simply works! It includes the website, ability to post Blogs, Netstorming, etc. Not only do I enjoy the effective networking model, relationships that have been, and continue to be, developing, but also I get value in return.

Recently, Solution Explorers went off the radar due to an unrelated 10-month contract gig I accepted. I missed the group meetings, and even put my Blog on hold for the most part. However, I've re-engaged again. Last month, I attended Netstorming and within a few days following this event I received an email referral. It's too early to know if this will develop into a new client, but that's not the point. This isn't the first referral that I've given or received either. In fact, I've given more than received, and that's rewarding.

I should mention that this referral came from a 1st-time attendee that I happen to make eye contact with, introduced myself (which she really appreciated) and began a new business relationship. Her referral was also spot on to my ideal client mix. After hearing her 1-minute intro, I was then able to introduce her to a relevant person that was also present.

If you're already involved, great. If not, just do it. Of course, it helps if your profile is filled out and communicates effectively. Thanks NIA!!
