About

Patrick is the founder and CEO of ProLedge Bookkeeping Services. ProLedge has offices in Austin, Houston, Dallas and Fort Worth. It offers QuickBooks support to small businesses from 0 to 50 employees. ProLedge's key selling point is that it charges the same prices a independent bookkeepers, while offering the stability of a firm. Prior to founding ProLedge, Patrick was the COO of CPA2Biz, Inc., the leading provider of marketing and technology services to the accounting profession. Prior to CPA2Biz, Patrick held several executive positions at Intuit (maker of QuickBooks), Microsoft, WebTV (acquired by Microsoft), Bain & Company (strategic consulting) and Procter & Gamble. He holds an MBA and an engineering degree.

Passions

Bookkeepers and accountants are not interchangeable. There are tasks that clearly belong to your bookkeeper and others that belong to your CPA. QuickBooks Accountant Copy: Don’t Bother.

The QuickBooks Accountant Copy is a great concept on paper, but a hindrance in real life. Nowadays, there are much more elegant and efficient  ways to coordinate your work with your CPA, tax adviser or bookkeeper. Intuit’s 401k – An Intriguing Approach

Intuit, the maker of QuickBooks, recently entered the 401k market and is getting some good traction. Why is it worth noting? After all, there are hundreds of 401k providers out there and most are investment institutions with much better financial pedigrees than Intuit’s.
