About

Lori Luza and the staff at As You Wish photography are passionate about making their clients happy. Lori defines her photography style as “down-to-Earth,” allowing for real emotion to come through in the images. This philosophy holds true whether photographing a wedding, shooting a senior portrait, or capturing the love in a family. While the world is our studio, we call Austin, Texas home and regularly travel to Round Rock, Georgetown, the Hill Country, Bryan, College Station and the Brazos Valley. We are also available for travel to other local areas including: Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Llano, Travis, Williamson, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson, and Washington Counties. Contact us today to see how we can create a custom-tailored wedding or portrait package that fits your needs and budget. We want to put a smile on your face!

Portrait No-no: Mineral Makeup

posted on May 17, 2010

Thanks to our friend and client, Beth, for reminding us to mention mineral makeup with regard to prepping for a portrait session. Its bad. Don't do it. :) The minerals in the makeup reflect light and can wash you out and make you look very pale. One of our favorite photographers to watch, Lynn Michelle, has a great article on makeup that contains titanium dioxide and how it photographs.
